Dr. Andrew Cheshire, DDS

My passion for dentistry began when I journeyed with my dad (also a general dentist) on a dental mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Over the course of a 10-day mission, I saw how the art of dentistry can truly make patients smile again, whether that may be taking patients out of pain, providing esthetic treatment for patients to gain confidence in their smile, or even showing care for them as an individual as well as meeting their dental needs. Since this mission experience, it has been my goal to share smiles with patients through compassionate and detail-oriented care that always puts the patient first.

After receiving a bachelors in violin performance at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, I attended University of Central Florida for science coursework prior to pursuing my dental degree at University of Florida College of Dentistry. I graduated dental school with high honors, earning awards in clinical dentistry for exceptional patient care and clinical skill in restorative and prosthodontic dentistry.

My training includes experience across all areas of general dentistry, including prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric care.

I am committed to evidence-based dentistry and patient education to provide our dental family with the tools, knowledge, and treatment to have confidence in their oral health.

Fitting to the Stanford Family Dental name, I moved to the Menlo Park area with my young family (my wife, Marlena, and my son, Michael) to continue practicing dentistry as my wife pursues her PhD at Stanford University in environmental engineering.

I am very excited to work alongside Dr. Jamie Paychev to provide exceptional patient-centered care. Dr. Jamie and I share a similar passion for giving back to our community through dentistry and a conservative treatment philosophy which prioritizes patient needs. I look forward to meeting and serving you and your family!

I continue to stay up-to-date with medical and dental best-practices through continuing education courses and maintain active membership in the American Dental Association, California Dental Associate and Mid-Peninsula Dental Society. Outside of dentistry, I enjoy playing violin in church on Sundays, going on hikes with my family, and cultivating hobbies such as wheel throwing (pottery), surfing, and golfing.

Lauren Wilson

Office Manager, Registered Dental Assistant

With over 40 years of experience in dentistry, I bring a deep passion for patient care to everything I do. My journey began at Foothill College, where I completed the Dental Assisting Program in 1979, inspired by an orthodontist who showed me the impact this field can have on people’s lives. I have loved my work ever since.

As a Registered Dental Assistant and office manager for 32 years, I am committed to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable, valued, and cared for. Ensuring that every patient comes first is at the heart of my approach.

Outside the office, I am a proud mother of three wonderful daughters and “Nana” to eight amazing grandchildren. I cherish time with my family and friends, who bring so much joy and balance to my life.

I graduated from the dental assisting program at Foothill College in 2020. I began to intern at the office and now I am an employee. My favorite hobbies include being out in nature and spending time with my family. I have learned so much about dentistry in the two years I have been here, and I am eager to continue improving my skills.
